On September 12-13, WRVB attorney Nancy Reynolds presented at the 5th Annual Long Term Care Insurance ExecuSummit at the Mohegan Sun Hotel & Convention Center in Uncasville, Connecticut. The Summit –bringing together long-term care providers, insurance executives, and attorneys– is designed to highlight recent trends and new legal theories, and is an opportunity to share collective wisdom in the long-term care space.

Nancy’s presentation, entitled “Defending Against Consumer Protection Claims in Malpractice Litigation,” focused on the how and why Consumer Protection Act claims have become claims of choice for plaintiff attorneys, and strategies to successfully defend against those claims.

Her impactful presentation included lively debate on unique standing issues and was regarded as beneficial for attendees in states where these types of claims are currently arising.
