We are pleased to announce that Autumn Visser has been named to Virginia Business Magazine’s 2023 Women in Leadership list. Women on this list are recognized for their career, community engagement and mentoring efforts in an effort to break the glass ceiling.

Autumn’s tremendous leadership at WRVB and her service-oriented approach has fueled many major accomplishments and achievements throughout her career. Autumn currently serves on the board of directors and served as the firm’s chief financial officer for two years. Her business acumen has helped the firm successfully navigate the pandemic and other challenges and opportunities over the last several years, including the merger of Woods Rogers and Vandeventer Black in 2022. Autumn was instrumental in the drafting of documents and advising the board on how to best proceed with the merger. She is also a current member of the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee and developed and leads the firm’s Minority and Women-Owned Business Support Program, which provides pro bono corporate formation counsel to companies operating in Virginia owned by women and minorities.

Autumn’s breadth and depth within her legal practice has led her to be an instrumental role in many economic development initiatives in western Virginia. She has assisted several companies, including manufacturers, that sought to relocate or establish operations in the region. She has also represented startups and venture capital investors with a specific focus on this region. Her legal work facilitated national and international manufacturers building new regional facilities, adding hundreds of jobs.

The award winners were celebrated at a cocktail networking reception on June 5 held at the Richmond office of Troutman Pepper.
