Vandeventer Black LLP is pleased to announce the new Robert L. O’Donnell Pro Bono Service Award. The Award was created in honor of Vandeventer Black attorney Robert L. O’Donnell and his decades with the firm including years of service as Pro Bono Committee Chair. O’Donnell recently retired after working his entire career as an attorney at the firm. During his tenure, he served as the Chairman of Vandeventer Black’s Pro Bono Committee and was actively involved in the firm’s pro bono efforts, including representing civilian and military clients. This Award will be presented annually to a Vandeventer Black attorney who has made significant contributions to the firm’s pro bono efforts in the past year.

“The opportunity to help those in need of legal services has been a truly rewarding experience. I am grateful to the firm for providing me this opportunity,” said O’Donnell.

In addition to announcing the Award, the firm also announced the Award’s first recipient, Jennifer L. Eaton. Jenny has been an active member of the firm’s Pro Bono Committee and has dedicated considerable time pursuing pro bono efforts, including trial work for in-need clients.

In selecting Jenny as this year’s recipient, Bob said that “she is the ideal inaugural recipient of this award for her unwavering dedication to providing pro bono services to those less fortunate.”

The firm hopes this Award will inspire further pro bono service and looks forward to continuing its tradition of service.
