Michael L. Sterling serves on Vandeventer Black’s Executive Board and has Chaired the firm’s Construction and Government Contracts Practice Group, Practice Management Committee, and Dispute Resolution Services. His practice concentrates on complex projects and disputes for international, national, and local clients, focusing on compliance and other regulatory issues.
Sterling is an accomplished AV Preeminent business attorney previously recognized as a ‘Legal Elite,’ ‘Virginia Super Lawyer,’ ‘A Top Virginia Attorney in Corporate Litigation & Construction,’ ‘Best Lawyer in America’ and a ‘Top Lawyer.’
Richard Ottinger concentrates his law practice on commercial litigation, including intellectual property disputes, tort defense, transportation, and maritime litigation, and complex trusts and estates disputes. He is currently the President of the Virginia Bar Association and is a member of the Firm’s Executive Board, and works on a wide variety of governmental matters.
Ottinger was also recognized as Virginia Lawyers Weekly’s list of Leaders in the Law for 2020. Earlier in his career, he received the Virginia State Bar’s prestigious R. Edwin Burnette Jr. Young Lawyer of the Year award, the Norfolk & Portsmouth Bar Association’s Walter E.
