Vandeventer Black attorney Jennifer L. Eaton recently became a member of the Board of Directors for the Chesapeake Humane Society. The Chesapeake Humane Society works to promote the welfare of companion animals through programs and initiatives that reduce pet overpopulation, increase adoptions, and encourage responsible pet guardianship through affordable pet care.
“Having two lively dogs of my own, I welcome this opportunity to serve an organization that fosters the care and treatment of the very animals that enrich the lives of so many,” said Eaton.
In addition to this community activity, Jenny recently began her tenure on the disABILITY Law Center of Virginia’s Foundation Board. She also holds leadership roles in various professional organizations and coaches Special Olympics athletes in basketball, soccer, and track & field.
When not out in the community, Jenny is a trial attorney who represents clients primarily in the maritime and transportation industries in state and federal courts across the Commonwealth. Along with her team in the Litigation Practice Group, she also serves as local counsel for matters litigated in the Norfolk and Newport News divisions of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.
