Vandeventer Black attorney Jennifer L. Eaton was recently awarded the prestigious Walter E. Hoffman Community Services Award by the Norfolk & Portsmouth Bar Association. This award is presented annually for outstanding service to the community by a NPBA member under 40 and recognizes hands-on service versus financial contributions.

“Jenny’s outstanding service to many non-profit organizations within the Hampton Roads community does not go unnoticed. She was recognized as a Millennial On The Move, and she has led the firm’s efforts at fundraising on behalf of the Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia, winning the 11th Annual Legal Food Frenzy,” said Michael L. Sterling, Managing Partner. “Jenny is also a member of our firm’s Norfolk Pro Bono Committee and her extraordinary efforts contributed to our firm’s recent award as Pro Bono Law Firm of the Year by Legal Aid of Society of Eastern Virginia.”

Besides giving back to the Foodbank and pro bono legal services, Eaton is a coach for the Norfolk Special Olympics athletes in basketball, soccer, and track & field. She also serves on the local Special Olympics Area 2 Board.

Her practice includes a broad range of general corporate and transactional matters as well as litigation defense. She represents clients with needs in both state and federal court.
