Woods Rogers PLC proudly joins our Commonwealth and nation in celebrating Juneteenth—Jubilee Day. As we commemorate this sacred day in American history, we realize that freedom is not always “free.” Following the events surrounding the deaths of George Floyd, Rayshard Brooks, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery and countless others, we have watched the world join together in protest against systemic racism and division in this country.

More than ever, we recognize that this is a defining movement—not moment—in the history of our country. As leaders in the legal profession, we are called upon to advance and protect the Rule of Law and the spirit of the Constitution. The judicial system that we all know and respect needs to be reformed to ensure fulfillment of one of the most basic promises made to all Americans: “that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”

Woods Rogers is committed to running this R.A.C.E. We understand that words are not enough. Now is not the time to be silent or complacent – now is the time to lead. We will lead by implementing an action plan which affirms the following:
